Thinking about transferring to New Jersey City University? Not sure what you need or what to do? Don't worry! We're here to help you.

The first step is transferring to New Jersey City University is to apply! That's right. It's just that easy. Fill out an online application. You may also apply to NJCU using the common app!

The second step is to submit all your transcripts for college-level classes or coursework.

Email e-transcripts to admissions@njcu.edu.

Use institution code 8427 for score reports from DSST.

Use school code 2516 for score reports from College Board (Advanced Placement (AP), College Level Examination Program (CLEP), International Baccalaureate (IB), etc.).

Once you've applied and submitted your application, you will recieve a decision from the University Admissions office.

Once accepted, your transcripts will be evaluated by the Transfer Resource Center.

You will be notified by email and text when the evaluation has been completed.

NJ Transfer

NJ Transfer is designed to assist students interested in transferring from a New Jersey community college to a participating four-year institution in the state. Students are strongly encouraged to visit the website at to check equivalences for coursework they completed at one of the participating community colleges to see how they would transfer to New Jersey City University.
