Jeannette Louie
Jeannette Louie is an award-winning Asian American experimental filmmaker and visual artist whose experimental films and installations delve deeply into the realm of human consciousness. Her cinematic fables reveal the primacy of human thought as it streams through immersive cognitive terrains. Informed by neuroscience, psychology and philosophy, these epic landscapes depict the impact conscious identity has upon reality. 

Louie’s work is awarded and ÃÛÌÒtved by a Rome Prize in Visual Arts at the American Academy in Rome, Creative Capital Foundation Fellowship, MidAtlantic Foundation for the Visual Arts Fellowship, Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation Fellowship, Gapado AIR South Korea, Willapa Bay AIR, Yaddo, Skowhegan, The Center for Photography at Woodstock and Sculpture Space.

She has exhibited at Artists’ Television Access (SF), Cinesonika 3 (Northern Ireland), [.Box] at Visual Container (Milan), Platform Seoul (South Korea), Esso Gallery (NY), The Anderson Museum of Contemporary Art (NM, Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts (MI), Homie (Berlin), Mills College Art Museum (CA), Spaces (OH), Alberto Peola Arte Contemporanea (Turin), The Montclair Art Museum (NJ) and The Noyes Museum (NJ).

Ira Sachs Filmmaker Headshot

Ira Sachs
Ira Sachs is a feature filmmaker and longtime New Yorker. His newest film, Little Men, with Greg Kinnear, Jennifer Ehle, and Paulina Garcia, opened in cinemas in July 2019. His previous features include Love is StrangeKeep the Lights On, and Forty Shades of Blue, winner of the 2005 Sundance Dramatic Grand Jury Prize. His short film, Last Address, honoring a group of NYC artists who died of AIDS, has been included in the permanent collections of the Whitney Museum and MoMA. A 2013 Guggenheim recipient, Sachs is also the founder and Executive Director of  a non-profit arts organization based in NYC that provides ÃÛÌÒtv for LGBTQ artists across disciplines and generations.
