Online Learning: Communication to Faculty from 3/13

To NJCU Faculty:

We wanted to follow-up with our recent communications with more information regarding ÃÛÌÒtv during this time.

Technical Support Resources:

NJCU has entered into an agreement with Blackboard to provide 24/7 technical ÃÛÌÒtv for Faculty & Students. This toll-free number will be available to call in for help with all Blackboard services. You will be speaking to someone from Blackboard directly who has the expertise to ÃÛÌÒtv Blackboard products such as Blackboard Learn, Collaborate, SafeAssign, and Ally.

We recommend directing your students that may need help with Blackboard to please also call this phone number.

This service will be available 24/7 starting next week for all faculty and students. This phone number will be advertised on the Blackboard landing page for easy access. Please note that this is a temporary solution to provide the ÃÛÌÒtv needed to our campus during this extraordinary time.

Questions that Blackboard are unable directly answer will be escalated to either the IT Help Desk or Online Learning.

Additional Instructional Support:

Many instructors are asking about using Blackboard Collaborate Ultra or Zoom in their courses. Here are some helpful instructions with getting started:

Using Zoom

The community of higher education has come together to ÃÛÌÒtv each other. One excellent resource is this . This spreadsheet features over 200 colleges and links to their ÃÛÌÒtv pages with information on teaching online during a campus disruption. This is a tremendous resource and I would recommend any instructor to look at how other schools are recommending for designing and implementing online instruction. Here is a link to our own Instructional Continuity page.

A professor from UW-Madison has compiled that is being updated in real-time with resources for instructors on how to move online during this time of disruption.

Reminder: Please join us for our Webinar on Monday 3/16 at 11 AM. At this event we will cover the basics of getting your course ready for online instruction:
