Workforce Development Programs

Workforce Development at NJCU

If you've lost your job due to company downsizing or are currently unemployed, you may be eligible for a training grant through the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development (NJ LWD). These grants provide financial ÃÛÌÒtv to help you access high-quality training programs at no cost.

At NJCU Adult and Continuing Education, we offer a wide range of online certificate training programs that qualify for these grants. Our courses are designed to help individuals aged 18 and older gain the skills and knowledge necessary to secure rewarding, in-demand jobs in today’s competitive workforce. 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • 18 years or older
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Preferably a valid driver’s license (requirements may vary by program)

To determine if you qualify for a training grant, contact your local . One-Stop Career Centers are located by county throughout New Jersey and offer free employment services to help you develop the skills necessary to find a job. Employment counselors will work with you to review your career options based upon your current skill set.

Program Details

Our programs are hybrid, combining online coursework with an in-person component to ensure a well-rounded learning experience.

We aim to help individuals develop "middle skills"—the technical skills needed for high-demand, well-paying jobs in today’s economy. Whether you’re starting your career, changing paths, or seeking new opportunities, NJCU’s Adult and Continuing Education is here to ÃÛÌÒtv you at every step of the way.
