Since 2015 New Jersey City University (NJCU) has been offering workforce development training programs for the residents of Hudson and the surrounding counties in general and Jersey City specifically. In 2019 NJCU launched the Center for Workforce and Community Development to better serve the ever growing needs of the local and regional employers and employees.

Anchored by our Logistics Center that trains over 165 individuals with a successful employment placement rate of 70% each year, our trainees must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, and preferably have a valid driver’s license. The objectives of each workforce development program are aimed at helping individuals develop the middle skills required to succeed in today's ever changing economy.
