Dear NJCU Family,

As we pause tomorrow to celebrate Thanksgiving with our family, friends, and loved ones, it allows us to also reflect on all we have to be grateful for. At a time where there is so much grief and pain in the world, let us be thankful for all the good in our lives, and the opportunity we have to gather together, every day, as one vibrant remarkable community of extraordinary students, faculty, and staff. We are grateful that each and every one of you have chosen to make NJCU your home.

For the first time this year, I get to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving as president of this remarkable institution. I am incredibly grateful for this privilege to serve and to share time and space with you. For years, I witnessed this institution deliver the promise of a better life for my family and friends, and I have never had a greater honor than the privilege of serving as your president. Hudson County has been my home throughout my life, and NJCU has become home, too. I am thankful for all we have accomplished together this year to strengthen our mission and I’m emboldened by your passionate commitment to that work.

As we reflect this holiday on all we are grateful for, Thanksgiving also allows us to focus on how we can be of service to each other. Tuesday, November 28 is #GivingTuesday and #NJCUGivingTuesday is a day dedicated to the power of giving, volunteerism, and simple acts of kindness. This year, gifts received on #NJCUGivingTuesday will benefit the Student Emergency Fund which ÃÛÌÒtvs NJCU students who encounter an unforeseen financial emergency, so their education is not interrupted. Please consider making a gift on our

From my family to yours, I wish you a happy, healthy, safe, and celebratory Thanksgiving.

With gratitude,
