JERSEY CITY, N.J. | (NJCU)’s Master of Arts in Music Education is a 100% online program during the Spring 2021 semester.

Focusing on curriculum rather than performance, this 30-credit degree program is open to students interested in developing their skills for teaching in public and private schools, as well as community music schools and private studios. Students in the program will gain valuable experience and advanced knowledge in music theory and history.

Under the of Carol Shansky, D.M.A., as well as other music faculty, NJCU’s M.A. in Music Education offers coursework that develops discipline and knowledge in music theory and is structured to enable students to finish their degree in as little as two years — even attending on a part-time basis.

GRE test scores, teacher certifications, auditions or performances are not required to enter the program. Prospective students may apply now to begin the M.S. in Music Education degree program for the spring of 2021.
