JBJ Soul Kitchen New Jersey City University is a non-profit Community Restaurant that serves healthy and delicious three-course meals to guests across the campus community, regardless of your ability to pay.
Volunteering Can Help Cover the Cost of a Meal
NJCU students, faculty, or staff experiencing food insecurity may volunteer their time by participating in various activities around the restaurant or other campus locations to help cover the cost of their meal.
At JBJ Soul Kitchen NJCU, All Are Welcome. We believe in dining with dignity, where all are treated with cheerfulness, kindness, and respect, whether you are hungry, or hunger to make a difference in your community.

Pay it Forward for as Little as $12
We encourage our customers to effect change by making a suggested donation of $12 or using a Gothic Knights Flex Plan swipe to enjoy a three-course meal. We offer a Pay It Forward Program, where each additional $12 donation provides meals to those who are unable to donate.
When you Pay it Forward, you help your community members with food insecurity experience a fine dining experience.

Bon Jovi Soul Kitchen community restaurant coming to NJCU campus in Jersey CityA Jon Bon Jovi Soul Kitchen is coming to Jersey City. A fourth location of the rocker's nonprofit community restaurants will set up shop on the second floor of the Gilligan Student Union Building on the campus of New Jersey City University starting Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2023. The hours in Jersey City will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Other Soul Kitchens are located in Red Bank, Toms River, and inside the inside the Paul Robeson Campus Center on the campus of the Rutgers University-Newark. |
